Legs 4 and 5 of the MTN BMX SA Champs was held at the Germiston BMX Club on Saturday 12 June. After Friday's excitement with the World Cup Soccer opening ceremony and Bafana's very impressive match, riders, parents and spectators were ready for more mind blowing stuff. It was a day filled with the most gobsmacking - OMG did you see that - kind of racing. With the UCI Worlds (right here in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) just 6 weeks away, riders have been putting in extra training and trying that much harder, and it really showed. A huge thank you to Konstant Greyling and Wayne and Helen Kimmons for an awesome venue.

The next MTN BMX SA Champs will take place on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July at Alrode BMX Club ... see you there!

Once in a while special things happens for the right reasons, and this is exactly what is happening at Giba Gorge MTB Park over June and July.

East Coast Productions has gone all out to bring the very best of our home grown talent to Giba Gorge. With over 50 bands signed and the list growing, the stage is surely set to be entertaining. The festival is planned to cater for the entire family, and days will be themed according to musical genres. There will be the odd comedy act and fashion show, while you will be dazzled by professional staging, sound and lighting, not to mention the big LED and plasma screens.
Sport screening at Giba will be as normal. Be sure to joins us!

Over the period of 11 June - 14 July

Pricing will be as follows:
6am - 2pm: prices will be as normal
2pm - 4pm non riders will pay R30
4pm - onwards non riders will pay R50

All other prices remain constant.
A pass for the duration of the event will cost R500

Annual Giba Members will have free access to the park.
Giba Annual Membership is R840 for the year!
