This series aims to provide an incredible opportunity for both novice and expert riders to enhance their skills and gain valuable experience. The Western Cape Winter League Series is designed to bridge the gap between different skill levels, creating a platform for growth and development. We believe this will be a fantastic way for all riders to challenge themselves and take their riding to the next level. The first race of the series will take place this weekend (Sunday 11th of June) at Zone 7 BMX Club. Make sure to mark your calendars and join us for an action-packed day of BMX racing. The race schedule and further details will follow shortly. We encourage all club members to participate and showcase their skills. Whether you’re a novice looking to gain experience or an expert rider aiming to push your limits, this series has something for everyone. BMX RIDER MIYANDA MASETI INVITED TO UCI WORLD CYCLING CENTRE TRAINING CAMP We at Cycling South Africa are thrilled to announce that BMX rider Miyanda Maseti has been invited to participate in a high-level training camp at the UCI World Cycling Centre from May 17 to August 14, 2023. This is an incredible opportunity for Maseti to train alongside other talented BMX riders from around the world and improve her level of performance. The UCI World Cycling Centre is recognized as one of the best training facilities for cycling in the world, and this invitation is a testament to Maseti’s talent and dedication to the sport. During the training camp, Maseti will have access to world-class coaches and training facilities, including a BMX track that meets UCI standards. She will be competing in a number of events whilst at the UCI Training Centre. The training program is designed to improve the athlete’s level of performance and to prepare them for the upcoming BMX World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. The camp will provide Maseti with the opportunity to train in a European environment, which will be crucial to her success at the championships. Miyanda Maseti is a rising star in the world of BMX, and we are excited to see her develop and excel in this training camp. We wish her all the best in her training and with the upcoming events and look forward to seeing her represent her country at the international races and BMX World Championships.
